Shadow people and other ghastly nighttime entities are plaguing people across the world. They attack while you are sleeping. Some people even report that these ghost like figures haunt their day to day life: dark shadows are seen out of the corner of our eyes.

Science explains this as sleep paralysis or lucid dreaming. This, as Wikipedia describes it, is a "phenomenon in which an individual, either during falling asleep or awakening, temporarily experiences an inability to move, speak, or react. It is a transitional state between wakefulness and sleep, characterized by an inability to move muscles." This phenomenon is so common that it has been termed ‘old hag syndrome’.

However, those who have encountered night terror creatures argue otherwise. They claim that their experiences are too vivid, too real, to be dismissed as an hallucination.
