A few days ago, Alex Jones Social media presence was taken off several different platforms around the web, including Facebook, Youtube, Itunes, Spotify etc. Prompting his supporters to declare an infringement of free speech, but is it. In this episode of the Now Debate we discuss the implications and what it means to the global awakening of humanity.

Alex Jones, a controversial figure, in conspiracy circles and polarising by his opinions, it really does not matter if you love the guy or hate him. The question this situation has brought up is how much influence social media has on our lives and how we express ourselves online. There are two sides to the argument.

a) Should these private organisations have the right to not have someone on their platform who they don't want.
b) As these platforms have so much influece on humanity as a whole, should there be provisions in place that protect our freedom of speech and expression on their platform.

We express how we can see both sides of the argument but also offer the personal opinion that Jones style of creating divide is not helping anyone. Is he standing for himself or is he standing for a cause. Check out the video to find out more
