We explore an abandoned dog racing track, and it almost goes wrong as the farmer (owner) drives by...
HISTORY: The Derby Dog Racing Track first opened its gates in 1939 and had a circumference of 372 metres. It ran a variety of races from short distance sprints, to marathon races of over 740 metres. Such was the popularity of the venue that it was able to operate 3 nights each week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There were even trains dedicated to the racing. It was originally built as leisure for the mining community of Holmesfield, but closed its gates in 1997, as mines began to close. This resulted in declining popularity and therefore a lack of funding.

Note: Urban exploring can be dangerous, and if permission is not given, it can be illegal. We don't not promote any of these activities.
