Asians bad drivers? Good at math? topics: Stereotypes Racism A lot of my Chinese friends, be they immigrant or not, drive just fine, or even better than the average Americans. However, my driving really sucks and I've given it some thought. If I'm not alone, then my experience might help explain the stereotype or support
big fan of the car culture. So far I have been on the road for 20 times. I'm 27 and my parents have a car, but I haven't driven it until 5 years ago, when I was preparing to go to the US and was told "every American drives". My early car-less lifestyle has trained me to regard transportation as a service. I'd rather being served by a bus driver, a taxi driver, a subway, a train, a flight. Buying a car sounds to me like a huge waste of money. I didn't give it any thought until recently when I get a new job whose location really requires a car.

(By contrast, a lot of my Chinese friends cars and couldn't wait to get their first ride. They all became great drivers and felt driving in America is much easier. In China, you have to spend a lot of energy dealing with the lawless drivers/cyclists/pedestrians).

So I started practicing. Also due to wealth in auto racing, European countries and the US will dominate.

Actual basis in reality:
