Bowman Lake - Day 2 "Tranquil Falls"

Our second day of our expedition would focus on Canyon Creek Falls aka Bowman Falls. We would offroad and then hike along Jackson Creek where we would go primitive. Eventually descending into the canyon where we would explore both the upper and lower falls. The upper falls are very wide which pour into a pool while the lower falls are tiered where they drain into a deeper section of Canyon Creek. Eventually we would cross the creek where we would have a picnic on the peninsula in a primitive area of Bowman Lake and hike through a very rugged part of the Tahoe National Forest. We would finish off the evening rafting in a cove below our camp and late at night where I am putting out our fire. It was a strange night heard more vocalizations and again something in the water. Still found very little evidence of anything no less day two was a wild adventure. Sorry the footage is so shaky honestly the terrain is real rugged so between my heavy pack, gear and camera it really is difficult to navigate without falling. It was a very very long challenging day and will finish it showing off Red Hill at sunset like we did on day one!
