The building opened in 1929 as a Miners Welfare Hall for South Pelaw Colliery. After the closure of South Pelaw Colliery in 1964, the hall became a community centre and remains so today.
We decided to try Table tipping in the Main Hall, the table started to move almost immediately and some investigators felt sick.
While Table Tipping we seem to have caught an EVP, when one investigator asks, Does the spirit know who made handprints in the paint?
(Staff had noticed small handprints on a couple of occasions on wet paint) we seem to have caught a response.
