All that remains of Empire City are the graves of those who braved the wild west buried here on Ambrose Hill. In this very cemetery you have many of the first residents of old Empire City all the way from politicians to children and those that worked the mills. Today many of the graves are in peril out of the two hundred graves only half are marked while the land itself is the site of one of Nevadas first ranches. These pioneers came to this area when this was Utah territory before NV reached statehood some of them were also part of Carson Cities history the state capitol. Not only is this cemetery very historic but its also haunted.
