John Mccolgan Founder for Unexplained Paranormal Research (UPR). UPR was founded in 2013 and we are celebrating our 4th year this December. John grew up in a South Shore Massachusetts town, and always had an interest in the paranormal or the unexplained, but wanted it to be different to what you see on TV or read in a book. Could there be an explanation first? When starting Unexplained Paranormal Research, John wanted to base his team with history and science, with a little skepticism, and education. Let's see if we can find out a logical answer first, then move to the next steps. Not everything is Paranormal, making our extensive debunking process key to the avenues of paranormal and non paranormal activity.
Unexplained Paranormal Research consists of eight team members that have been with UPR since the beginning of our journey and come from all walks of life making our team diverse and knowledgeable when investigating. When researching, The team spends numerous hours researching properties, pulling historical documents, Reading old newspapers, not relying on what you find online, because the history of any property can lead to a possible answer to what is happening.
UPR has investigated many local historical spots including hosting public events for historical societies, local south shore cemeteries, residential homes and businesses. UPR hosts many informational workshops including how to use equipment, how to debunk, how to request historical documents, how to make your own equipment.
