Its groundhog day and a very chilly one if that so its definitely great to be hooping indoors at the MAC. We will start off with practice shooting for awhile very important to throw so many balls towards the hoop before we scrimmage. Honestly, if you never practiced your shots and you went straight into a game you might find it difficult to score under pressure. Shooting always loosens me up so that I can relax during a game with those longer laser precision shots.

The second half of the film is two full court games our first game had plenty of great passing and shots we killed it especially little James. The second game we lost it was close though and we only lost because we had a couple guys who refused to pass the ball when we could have closed the deal early on. I am glad that I do not scout for guys like that to play on our team. Anyone, can put a ball into a hoop the real skill is setting up that bucket for points so if you look at me while I am open and you do not pass your a pretty crappy player especially since you pass instead to someone who is defended well while I am waving to you at the three point line ugh people lack the skills it takes to be on a high caliber team like ours!

Unfortunately, when your a rocker goth type of dude like me it does not matter if during practice you hit five threes in a row that's the stuff people never see so they only hurt themselves of winning because poor team play. Apparently playing at the MAC is more like a dating game so if your not bald, fat, bearded or look like everyone else is the only way you will ever see that ball that is speaking from experience. So I never really played with more then half of these guys so the second game was very weak from a coaches perspective but I got in about 10k steps in practice so I achieved building stamina so that I can play defense at max come our regular season.You wont ever see that type of poor play come from our team were disciplined and go out there with some discipline which is what wins you games!

I know one thing I do not recruit ego maniacs everyone wants to score nobody wants to defend or pass. Your not worthy of being on a team if you cant do either and that is coming from someone who has been coaching basketball a long time so I will stick with our guys! The only thing good about playing with strangers is I get to run my ass off and get some defensive practice in. But from my experience playing with others at the MAC you are not going to see the ball much its a showoff sausage fest and the sad thing is nobody is going to remember you once you go home or a game that means nothing. The only game that means something is in the tournament that is when our team will be playing for keeps and to win it all! Nothing else matters but that alone not open basketball with pompous asshats!

Speaking of our regular season we have right now about nine players. So in future practice videos your going to start seeing player practices since I been scouting and recruiting players to play in the upcoming tournament which starts February 23rd so we only have a few practices before things get real. No less some good shooting and a solid full court game the stuff people really enjoy watching when they check out our team practices. People ask me all the time why film practices? Its simple it allows others to see how our team progresses but allows me to teach our viewers a little about basketball. Basketball is not just about playing its also about learning. Their are more elements to this game then nearly any other sport in the world! Learn it, embrace it and conquer it for that you will be a much better player all around!
