We had just stood on the peak now it was time to make our way down off this beast of a mountain chasing butterflies along the way and soaking up the views of the buttes that are seen from afar. It was a good time and much faster descending down off of the mountain. It was a better sign to see the jeep and its big open meadows below the road. I would take us to the general area of the Bigfoot Kill Zone where we would climb down the side of the road into some dense forest just below a lush meadow. Just as we heard something when we first arrived like whispers this time around when I had came to scope out how safe it would be to climb down we heard a branch snap and something moving around. I grabbed my gear then we begin our descend to a flat area where we found a track with a big toe impression. Further away in the same direction is where we discovered fresh foliage and tree life which had been mowed over. Something big came through here and we just missed it. Ill also talk a bit about Justin Smeja's Bigfoot Kill Zone! Its a fun little adventure which delves a bit deeper into the Haskell Peak area and the possibility of the existence of something cryptid in the area!
