This is a Ghost Box Session in the Basement of a home in the Murphysburg Residential Historic District. Joplin's only recognized residential historic district. The district was home to Joplin's wealthiest and most influential citizens during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This part of Joplin used to be called the town of Murphysburg. Next door is the Olivia Apartments (also known as the Olivia Apartment Hotel built in 1906) The blonde ghost box conductor is Dar, The ghosts do say her name a few times. She is running the audio and ghost box as she sets up. It helps to have the ghost box turned on for a little while to have them get used to it and they always say interesting things before we start.
