We are now in total darkness surpassing 40 hours on the expedition. The woods and foliage are so dense that they eliminated the full moon. All we can see miles off in the distance are homes dimly lit in the Carson valley. The wash was killing me as water ran out my legs were cramping so each step down per rock was a hardship and I ended up having to drink my own urine only eventually would we come across Freedom creek where we could drink from its fresh waters. We dealt with snakes, scorpions, forest and high desert. This would be a very intense ending to our fourth expedition!
