John Henry Lovelock was the founder of one of northern Nevada's largest towns which went from mining to agriculture. This very cemetery that we take you on a tour of resides deep in the great basin overshadowed by the cave of the red haired giants. The first interment was Lovelock's wife Mary whom led to the plot for a town cemetery. Today every grave has a story to tell overshadowed by Lone Mountain residing along the edge of the wilderness many of the boom towns went bust its miners flocked to here only to end up becoming a permanent resident! For John Henry this was a part of his dream to build a community nestled in the heart of Nevada which today still thrives and the very burial ground he is buried at still continues to provide a place for the dearly departed.
