Luminol Test

Testing a claim that a prostitute had been bludgeoned to death in the hallway of this hotel we decided to conduct a Luminol test in hopes of detecting trace amounts of blood to help support the claim.

The Luminol solution is sprayed where blood might be found. The iron from the hemoglobin in the blood serves as a catalyst for the chemiluminescence reaction that causes Luminol to glow, so a blue glow is produced when the solution is sprayed where there is blood.

All of the lighting used during this test was infrared and UV blacklighting.

As we knew this was a long shot our findings were inconclusive.
