crazy moth that I found on facebook.. looks freaky as hell.. would love to know what you guys think.. this is one of those things you would think we would have seen before in tv shows, magazines etc..
its called a Creatonotos gangis
According to an online database , these moths are found throughout Southeast Asia and parts of Australia: The adult moth of this species has brown forewings, each with a broken dark streak. .

The hindwings are white and the abdomen is red, or sometimes yellow. Males have four reversible coremata at the end of the abdomen that emit pheromones. They are all longer than the abdomen when swollen. The wingspan is about 4 centimeters.

Some people who commented on the images on Facebook also helped determine what type of moth it was and used its bets and these "tentacles" to release pheromones.

Although its appearance may be impressive, this moth remains totally harmless.
