We would start our first journey nearing the top of Ophir HIll thru Spanish Ravine which resides behind Virginia City. Little did we know that the elements would take a toll on us the higher we traversed the colder and more snowy it had gotten. A storm was brewing it was almost nearly Christmas high above Virginia City in a canyon that at one time where miners lost there lives in hopes of striking it rich. We had almost gotten to the top of Ophir hill just across the canyon you will also see Mount Davidson which is cold, dark and desolate. At about 7,200'k the visibility had gotten really poor camera is wet from snow falling and I decided to come back at a later date to take another shot at eventually summating two of the Virginia Ranges tallest peaks.
