Mount Davidson is the tallest peak in the Virginia Range but back in the Comstock Lode days it was called Sun Peak. The views are within the top ten in the state of Nevada one can see Virginia City, Gold Hill, Silver City, Pine Nut Mountains, Sierra Nevada's. Eagle Valley, Washoe Valley, Reno, Carson City and the list goes on and on. All I did was cut on over from Ophir Hill then we hiked and climbed rocks till we stood on the summit. It stands at 7,864' and sure its not the tallest but it still is a beast. When I stand here I can see over 50 places I have explored and done paranormal research at its simply amazing. Back in the day Mark Twain use to look at the old flag pole which a flag would be hung everyone 4th of July on and yes it still stands today. The Chinese built deep mine shafts near the peak which ran to Virginia City and connected to China Town via tunnels just a tid bit of history for our viewers.
