As you began to ascend into the Desolation Wilderness you will leave behind two great majestic Lakes that being Tahoe and Fallen Leaf. Both bodies of water are bluer then the sky. Strangely one has a Lake Monster while the other is so woodsy that Bigfoot could roam its shores based on reports we received. Off in the distances you can see the Carson Range and high sierras this is just a small part of this range thus the area is very vast.
