Prospectors in the early 1860's came to this valley from Star City in hopes of finding gold and silver. But instead what they found is a fertile gem for raising livestock and growing wheat. The problem was that when the ranchers arrived they were under constant attack which led to the construction of Fort Winfield Scott naming the town Scottsdale. A small city would spring up which had a post office, hotels, saloons, blacksmith shops, livery stables, stores, grange hall, cemetery and many other businesses. When the threat of the Indians ceased this was a lively town many salesman and miners traveling up to nearby Buckskin and National often had arrived via stagecoach to indulge in Paradise's Cities classy hotels. Today Paradise Valley is a semi ghost town in rural Northern Nevada overshadowed by the snowy beautiful Santa Rosa Mountains. I am going to take our viewers on a journey down country back roads, what once was downtown, on a tour of the historic cemetery, cellars, tunnels and even along the Humboldt River as we uncover relics of the past. This is what it truly means to be in Paradise surrounded by nature, pioneer ranches and uncovering remnants of the past. This is a true gem perhaps one of Nevada's best kept secrets so sit back enjoy the ride let me take you on my journey where time slows down and the journey is timeless. Near the end of the movie you can view a gallery with music and even some EVP we recorded while journeying underground. Is so surreal its like being in a dream you never want to end this is one expedition you will not want to miss!
