Paranormal Investigator Gaurav Tiwari Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances; Cops Claim Suicide

Paranormal Society founder Gaurav Tiwari was found dead on Thursday inside the bathroom of his home in Dwarka, Sector 19, New Delhi under mysterious circumstances.

Although police claim that Tiwari committed suicide by hanging himself in his bathroom, the family claims that he was perfectly normal and there was no reason to kill himself.

"The preliminary autopsy report confirms that he committed suicide. All his family members, including his parents and wife, were present in the Dwarka flat when he hanged himself using a piece of cloth," a senior police official said.

A senior police official said that his family members were not happy with his ghostbusting activities, first because he was often late into the night and second as he was not earning much.

It is also being reported that the paranormal activist had reportedly told his wife a few months ago that a "negative force" was attracting him towards it. However, she ignored it considering he was just depressed due to work overload.

Tiwari also used to share pictures of ghosts on his Facebook account. He had very recently shared a picture claiming that some negative energy was captured in the photo.

Tiwari was a pilot by training but got interested in studying paranormal activities after he moved into a "haunted" house in Florida during his training in 2007.

He returned to India and founded Indian Paranormal Society in 2009 and subsequently constituted full-fledged teams in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai.

Tiwari was reportedly a certified paranormal investigator. He was certified as a Lead Anomalous Investigator by Paranexus Association of USA. He was also said to be a certified Spirit Counsellor, Hypnotist. He visited over 6000 haunted places

Tiwari worked on various TV shows including Fear Files, Haunted Weekends Bhoot Aaya, and MTV He Ticket. He even shared screen space with adult film star-turned-Bollywood actress Sunny Leone

Tiwari, who got hitched a few months back, was reportedly scheduled to begin the shooting of a show on July 15 for a TV channel on ghost busting.
