Aztalan State The Park is the site of an ancient Mississippian settlement with two, small, flat-topped platform mounds. The ancient Native American settlement flourished here during the 10th and 13th centuries. Aztalan is located just south of the town of Aztalan, Wisconsin along the Crawfish River.
Aztalan State Park was established in 1952, designated a National Historic Landmark in 1964, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1966.
