Rumors of ghosts haunting the area, most of the ghost sightings happen in the woods right outside of the cemetery
Rumors that dead patients were burned in the smokestacks located in the woods.

Possible Connections

The main building was a tuberculosis sanitarium, close to a thousand people lost their lives to a slow agonizing disease here.
The land may very well have been the site of an old Native American camp with ceremonial mounds.
At one time there was a swimming pool near the nurse's quarters, meant for staff, but a patient drown in it. Soon after, it was filled-in. is perched on a hill overlooking the north-side of Madison in Dane County, Wisconsin. This 48 acre park is the former site of the Lake View Sanatorium, built in 1930 for the treatment of tuberculosis. The property includes twenty-six acres of upper woodlands, fifteen acres of meadows, including the original great lawn, and the original sanatorium buildings that now house Dane County Health and Human Services.
