In July of 2017, we traveled to the Antietam Battlefield and stopped at the historical Pry House Field Hospital Museum (a.k.a The Phillip Pry House). Now a museum for Civil War medicine, this location should be on anyone's bucket list if they are into the history and paranormal.

The Philip Pry house was built in 1844 by Philip Pry and his brother, Samuel, on high ground west of Keedysville, Maryland. This house is rich in history and now serves as an active museum on the Antietam Battlefield. If you visit the Antietam Battlefield, make sure you search out this location.

During the American Civil War battle of Antietam, it is believed this this building served as the head quarters of General McClellan since it overlooked the battlefield. Also, President Abraham Lincoln made a visit to this location to stop in and check on General Richardson who later died in the house after suffering wounds from the battle.
