Leaving behind the Stampede River to our backs we eventually reached the Truckee River although low rapids were flowing and the water was pure. We finally reached our own slice of heaven an area we could have a picnic at nestled in the forest as we pushed through brush as well as foliage that had yet to bloom. For thousands of years the natives used this river to hunt and fish along. Today when the rapids are more prevalent its the site for kayakers and white water rapid enthusiast. The shores were very rocky making it hard to find any animal or Bigfoot tracks. But it was a nice area to rest and spend time with my family as we had fun skipping rocks together. Its a very lush area if something cryptid wanted to hide back here it could because this is not a well visited area. You can follow the Little Truckee for miles there is no trail and nobody. We want you to enjoy this video its relaxing but its wholesome also this is why we do what we do because at the end of a hike we reap the rewards. Besides the land bridge found at the Stampede we would spend sometime resting here because we still had a few miles journey back to where our jeep was. This river does feed into the Stampede Reservoir.
