Photo by Ana Lapaš. Sanatorij Brestovac danas nakon zatvaranja. Sanatorij je sablasan spomenik zaboravljene ljubavi i dokaz nemarnosti gradske vlasti. Lječilište je zatvoreno 1969. godine zbog novih metoda lječenja tubrkuloze i od tada je napušteno i propada.

Abandoned and somewhat sinister looking, hospital (sanatorium) Brestovac ruins are located on the south slopes of Medvednica, at 846 meters above sea level. That position was considered to be an ideal place for treating tuberculosis and other lung diseases. Hospital was opened in 1909 and it was connected with a love story between an famous Croatian actress Ljerka Sram (known as Lady Sram), and Croatian journalist and doctor, Milivoj Dezman.
