Finally some blue skies and cleaner air yet its still hazy out. Zach, James and I come on out to scrimmage enjoying the great 78 degree weather. We had gotten to our third game and somehow James hurt his ankle really bad. How bad? Well he went to the ER and he broke it so all of our team does wish him a speedy recovery. As you can see in the footage its hard to tell exactly how this happened since James was playing defensive stopping Zach cutting to the net then all of sudden he went down after trying to reach in to take the ball. It seems like he slips a little then right after I heard a pop. Ankle and finger injuries are the most common in basketball and even broken noses. This summer we have had all three multiple times so ill be sad to lose James to one of them for awhile. It is what it is a Sunday afternoon bad break. How can you not love James even after breaking his ankle he still gave our youtube channel a promo lol. On a good note though the 2.5 games of 21 we played were all competitive, close and their was some great shots. James and Zach are closer to my age they really are the core of our team and as a coach I have enjoyed how well they continue to play. Its never easy when you sustain an injury like this because all any of us want to do is hang out with each other, ball, grow as players and have a great time. But we want to thank our players for the great support of The Phantoms Sports team and our fans!
