In 1970, a family of six, tired of the hectic life in the city, began their search for a
quiet, out-of-the-way home in the country. Their hunt paid off when they reached the outskirts of Hinsdale, New York. A century year old house, pristine white, nestled in the hills with its own pond, called out to these perspective buyers.
It was love at first sight.

Unaware to the family, there were unknown energies which made it clear
they were not alone. At first, footsteps were heard all hours of the day and night. -
noises were heard with no action, action with no noise,
such as windows slamming shut. Gregorian chants were heard on the hillside,
and burners of the stove would turn on with no human intervention.

The family dealt with the activity as best they could and eventually called in
Father Alphonsus Trabold OFM to assess what might be the cause of these
Paranormal incidents. The activity, becoming more
and more prevalent, at times becoming dangerous to the family, prompted
Father Al to contact world renowned psychic, Alex Tanous. Dr. Tanous
visited the house in late 1973 and offered his psychic
impressions which were shocking, yet confirmed what the family and
Father Al believed; the house was haunted. Alex left with the promise to return

The oldest daughter engaged to be married, their only son announced he was joining the
Navy, and the activity straining the remaining members of the family prompted them to leave
Their once beloved home. October of 1974, Clara and Phil, their two youngest daughters leaving
ahead of them, packed their last box into their car and pulled out of the driveway for the last time.
