September 2016 we visited the Fertilizer plant in the Thurrock District of Essex. Amazing location. More urban exploration videos to come!
This factory produced fertilizer for farms and was opened in 1959. Closed in either the 80s or 90s, not entirely sure. The decaying buildings which you can see in the video is a fraction of how big the site actually was as there is now a trading estate were the rest of the site once stood. We do not know if any of the original buildings still stand and are now used by other companies on the trading estate but if not then they were obviously demolished a long time ago.
