This clip was shot in Volcano Park which use to be the site of the old swimming pool and a raging creek. Today the park services as a picnic area for those that want to take in the history. Tune on in with this in depth history of Volcano California one of the most picturesque semi ghost towns of the mother lode. Also let me correct my mistake that "Old Abe" had a twin but the other cannon was called "Shiloh Sam". Gold was discovered here in 1848 and the town grew to over 5000 residents. It became a major cultural mecca site in all of California. Even though the town suffered many fires and fell to disastrous mining techniques it managed to survive leaving behind one large living museum.
