Shortly before rumours of this new layout began circulating, Youtube changed the algorithm used to order lists of search results. When searching by relevance, the difference is minimal, but when searching by viewcount, most searches just return a bunch of videos by VEVO channels, regardless of whether they are even remotely connected to the search. What makes them think we type stuff in the search bar becaue we want to watch unrelated videos by talentless flash-in-the-pan puppets of the record industry aimed squarly at the gullible 8 - 13 demographic that advertisers love to chase?
