ABANDONED PLACES: THE FORGOTTEN SCHOOL (URBAN EXPLORATION)
Recently on the way to investigate a series of ghost lights in north Texas I explored an abandoned school in the small town of Pottsville. The school was not ideal for a paranormal investigation. The floors were rotted and the walls were in bad shape. Not exactly the kind of place you'd want to visit at night.

Abandoned places are not necessarily haunted any ways. But by exploring an abandoned location you do get a glimpse of how people lived many years ago. In a sense, it's like walking amongst a ghost of our past.

Pottsville is basically now a deserted town. However, many years ago this town must have been thriving. One can imagine everyone from the town in the gym on a Friday night to watch a basketball game. But now there is a strange eeriness, a strange silence to the place. It's almost peaceful. It reminds me a lot of the strange and quiet peacefulness of a cemetery. In a way this school is a cemetery. It houses the remains of a town that has long passed away.

As a ghost hunter, this strikes a chord with me. I seek to find out what happens when our time on earth ends. But sometimes, you don't have to look far to find that answer. Sometimes, it's in the most unlikely of places, like a town long forgotten.
