Amazing Tour Inside An Abandoned Canadian Navy Ship

This explore was just incredible. This abandoned navy ship has been on the top of my list for awhile now. Knowing it will now be dismantled and scrapped, I knew I had to explore and film this ship before she is gone forever. The HMCS Cowichan 162 HMCS was built to replace the HMCS Cowichan 146 that was built in 1940. The HMCS Cowichan ships battle honours were:
Atlantic, 1941–45
Normandy, 1944
English Channel, 1944–45
The Canadian Navy Ship built by Yarrows Ltd. Esquimalt, British Columbia. The ship was constructed of aluminum framing and wood planking. The ship type was a Bay Class Minesweeper. A Minesweeper is a smaller sized warship designed to remove or detonate naval mines. There was 3 ships named The Cowichan. It entered service in Dec 1957 and was decommissioned in Aug 1997.  It was armed with only 1 40mm Bofors gun. It Weighs 396 tons, 152 ft in length, 28 ft beam and a Draft of 8 ft. Approx. speed of 16 kts. The ship had approx. 35 crew members on board. The navy ships bell is on display at the CFB Esquimalt Naval and Military Museum. This navy ship was later sold in 1999 and was to be converted into a personal yacht. The plans failed and the ship has been sitting abandoned and forgotten for years. It was sold again and is now going to be dismantled and scrapped.
Today we will explore this abandoned navy ship just before she is gone forever.
