53 years old and still running my set up.
my grandma went absolutely berserk when my mother bought this system.
(because the price was the same as a house deposit back then!)
she already had a dynatron (a system recommended by the Queen!!) music centre already too...
however she was sold on the fact that when the record deck was tilted almost 90° - the needle stayed and played!
the quality was so high you could hear people cough in the recording studio on songs and the tap of the finger nail on the piano.
amazing.
this system is an old timer and in 2003 my system was exhibited along with other B&O systems of old in Bath....
today Bang & Olufson is just a name. its owned by Philips and has Philips cheap components but still sold for masses to posh people who don't have a clue and just want a name.
