In questo meraviglioso luogo c'è una leggenda davvero incredibile riguardante il fantasma di Napoleone Torriani.
Dopo 18 mesi di prigionia, Napoleone della Torre morì di stenti il 16 agosto del1278, anche se alcuni storici narrano che si tolse la vita fracassandosi la testa contro le sbarre. La leggenda vuole poi che il suo fantasma si aggiri ancora agonizzante tra le mura della torre. Napoleone della Torre fu il più potente esponente della nobile Casata guelfa dei Della Torre. soprannominati anche Torriani. Sposò Margherita di Baux, nobile provenzale.
