Our first Cinco De Mayo scrimmage and eleven games of great competition. We started off by versing a new group of ballers never seen them before but they asked us to play up to 21 playing two's and ones. Then we play a two on two followed by a series of three on three games up to eleven points. We tried to do two best of three series totaling six three on three games some of the games were right down to the wire believe me not all but some kind of like our first game. Lots of great buckets and trust me it feels great to be nearly 100 percent coming off that calve injury as I was able to put more energy into my shots and score some really important three pointers. Everyone contributed and pay mind the defense is pretty top notch plenty of blocked shots so the ante is being upped here. Still need to work on retaining the ball longer, stronger more aggressive rebounds and consistency but then again that is something we always need to work at just that I felt this scrimmage we lacked a little in those areas. However, again our defense was stronger this week then the week before so we just have to put it together. One of the games did not record sometimes it happens where the battery cuts off or whatever sorry but it still was lost within one score so again close game which is how basketball is generally meant to be played. This series was fun and to be able to play it on Cinco De Mayo and have the showing we did I say right on! The Phantoms never disappoints and we rose to the occasion with some great competition to start May on off!
