CLOSED BUT OWNER STILL ROAMS - State Theater - Paranormal History

On July 8, 2019 we traveled to Point Pleasant, West Virginia and one of our stops was to the State Theater. The Art Moderne-style State Theater opened on Main Street between 5th Street and 6th Street in 1942. The theater could seat 700. The State Theater remained in operation until 1980, and then sat vacant until 1993 when it was restored. It was reopened for movies in early-1994, including midnight showings of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”. Though the State Theater stopped showing movies again in 2003, it was still used for various live events. It had closed again by 2017.

This video will discus the history, paranormal, and our personal experiences while at the location.
