The battle of Blore Heath took place in 1459 when Lord Audley's 10,000 strong Lancastrian men fought Lord Salisbury's 5,000 strong Yorkist men. After the battle had ended and the Yorkist's were victorious, there were a total of 3,000 causalities from the battle. Queen Margaret watched the battle from a nearby tower, but fled when she saw that her men were losing.

People have reported seeing the apparitions of soldiers and hearing the clanging of swords in this area.

The Folly was originally used as a church then later became a lookout tower for huntsmen and possibly a living space at some point in time.

The woods are believed to be the meeting place for a group of local witches that practiced their craft there.

This was our fourth installment of Face Your Fears where James took a lone vigil in the woods and Rhian faced the claustrophobia challenge by investigating the hell hole cellar alone.

We hope you enjoy this video.
