Happy National Paranormal Day! Today, Kevin reluctantly goes on a ghostly adventure.

Each year on May 3rd National Paranormal Day people who believe in paranormal activities are encouraged to get together and share their experiences with each other. Share your newest ghost picture with the hashtag #ParanormalDay on social media.

Paranormal is used to describe occurrences that can’t be explained by ordinary scientific measures. They are 'outside the norm'. Ghosts, hauntings, spirit, or poltergeist to name a few. However, an extraterrestrial and clairvoyance also fall into the category, too.

Nearly every city in the country has a house or location that holds a mystical presence. Whether the history associated with the location or personal experiences, certain places radiate the paranormal. Others need a time of day or year for their mystery to unfold. Even still, it might depend on who spins the tale. A good storyteller can make just about anyone’s spine tingle.

Paranormal activity has also been an intriguing subject in the entertainment industry. In 1993, “The X-Files” debuted on television and became a cult classic. Before that, “The Twilight Zone” set a benchmark for strange occurrences in 1959. In more recent years, the first movie of the “Paranormal Activity” series was released in 2007 and received worldwide accolades for its unique filming technique.

You might already know the haunted houses in your neighborhood, but you can also search for some of the best national ones for some added flare. Try visiting creepy places, armed only with flashlights. Jumping out of your skin from fright is a great way to spend National Paranormal Day!
