The Black Hand Gorge in Licking
County, Ohio It is located on the north slope of the Licking Summit. The land was sacred indian lands until the white settlers came in and stole it from them. After that the indians cursed the lands forever. Local people have told stories for years of the indian ghosts that dwell deep within the dark woods of the gorge. I found the air to be heavier there, the temperature cooler and had a very uneasy feeling the whole time!
