I was just getting ready to go for physical therapy to see if I could get off crutches. I had a total hip replacement due to legg calve perthes disorder. at 6 weeks most people are off crutches and walking good. I had gone so long with a bad hip I had extreme muscle atrophy of thigh muscles. The Dr told me that it would talk a long time to recover.
