00:24 - A mermaid is a legendary aquatic creature with the head and upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. Mermaids appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide, including the Near East, Europe, Africa and Asia. The first stories appeared in ancient Assyria, in which the goddess Atargatis transformed herself into a mermaid out of shame for accidentally killing her human lover. Mermaids are sometimes associated with perilous events such as floods, storms, shipwrecks and drownings. In other folk traditions (or sometimes within the same tradition), they can be benevolent or beneficent, bestowing boons or falling in love with humans.

01:45 - A disturbing video has emerged showing a lamb born with human-like features in a Russian village.
The lamb's head had the eyes, nose and mouth of a human and only the ears were those of a sheep.
After it was born, the lamb made a number of peculiar grunting noises as it was nuzzled by its more usual looking mother.
Last year, the Villalba family from Centro, north-western Argentinian province of Salta, were accused of bestiality when one of their goats gave birth to a calf with a 'human' head and the images were posted on social media.
The farming family were subjected to abuse and horrifying accusations by superstitious locals when the images went viral.
The family were bombarded with accusations that somebody among their number had been having sex with their goat and had to strongly refute the claims.

02:50 - Seventeen-year-old William Bartlett claimed that while driving on April 21, 1977, he saw a large-eyed creature "with tendril-like fingers" and glowing eyes on top of a broken stone wall on Farm Street in Dover, Massachusetts. Fifteen-year-old John Baxter reported seeing a similar creature in heavily wooded area on Miller Hill Road the same evening. Another 15-year-old, Abby Brabham, claimed to have seen the creature the following night sitting upright on Springdale Avenue. The teenagers all drew sketches of the alleged creature. Bartlett wrote on his sketch, "I, Bill Bartlett, swear on a stack of Bibles that I saw this creature." According to the Boston Globe, "the locations of the sightings, plotted on a map, lay in a straight line over 2 miles".

Take this creature in Costa Rica, for instance. A man was driving on a rural road when he spotted vultures surrounding an animal body. When he looked at the creature, he realized it was unlike anything he’d ever seen!

04:53 - Three hours northeast of Bangkok, Thailand, there have been sightings of the Naree Pon, a fairy-like creature that is said to be both plant and animal. Not being taller than three feet, the Naree Pon have been described as having beautiful female bodies and a sort of organic complexion to help them camouflage into the forest, hence being called the Thai Flower Pod Women.
There is a Buddhist legend that I have come across that explains the Naree Pon as beautiful creatures that would try to distract Buddha from meditation in the daytime, then would hide in the trees after night fall. It is also believed that the Buddhist God Indra planted about 16 Naree Pon trees in the Himapan Forest to protect Prince Vessandara, who was Buddha in an earlier incarnation.
