As the title says, I decided to see how far I could get, by spending 24 hours on buses. For this challenge, I only counted minutes that were spent physically sat on the bus, and excluded any leisure time, breaks and time spent on the ferry (the only way to escape England)... And yeah, the end result wasn't so bad!

I know a few people will ask, so I'll mention now that the first 2 buses/coaches were pre-booked, to save money of course. The 3rd option was harder to plan since it was hard to predict when it would come in, and originally I'd hoped to go to Milan, which would've then allowed me to cover a greater distance, but Lourdes was my main option ultimately, especially after the delays... In terms of bus number 4, it was quite literally a random bus which I stepped onto at the train station, where I'd initially left. It was a southbound local bus which I stayed on until the time was up.

The total cost for bus travel was less than £100, which isn't bad considering it saved me from needing to book any accommodation whilst travelling.
