Non Rent payments carrying sticks .. I found the 6th October date for Edward and Hattersley murder part of this history they used.
The area we are in Bennett and a Maguire died in a waggon accident at the bridge .. 1877 same year as the hanging of Molly Maguires in America for their part in riots .. all in the name of better working conditions. Smith was taught well in his history , Irish history he respected .. who wouldn't it was terrible hard times for Irish people.. we have Irish blood though my Grandad whose family worked the canals .. Brady however taught Smith the history and the writers and people and the two men were no exception . The Cart they died in was tipped off the bridge and into the water .. and they died in bad working conditions .. but the inquest stated all men were drunk .. and were joy riding . Maguire and Bennett came in from Liverpool , the day before . I have already found that Bennett is a link to Ulysses but also the Molly Maguires .. all mentioned in the book.. The hanging of the Mollys in America happened on the 21st June 1877 , same year as the accident at the bridge. something Brady would well have picked up on and a way to get Smith on board .. so is this reason Smith left his markers also we found then moved to Ireland .. he would not give up the area to the police . Brady and Hindley they also kept the area a secret .. I have added a link to the history .. History of the secret gang would of been of interest to Brady who wanted his own gang .. and copied what he read..
