Did a young couple move into a haunted home? If so, how did they survive it?

Here is a preview of the story. “Especially a 1950s home that had never been remodeled, it was time to start doing some repairs and making some changes. My husband decided we would start in the basement. The basement was nobody's favorite place to be. It had a creepy feel to it. The classic someone's watching you feeling. Or feeling like you had to run up the stairs on your way up. The dog would scramble so fast up the stairs he didn't care if he left you on the dust or knocked you down, he wasn't going to be the last one up. It was downright depressing, if too much time was spent down there.”
