In todays video my friends and I visit the most haunted tunnel in Japan, known as Kiyotaki Tunnel. Legends say to never come here at night, and we did. We will probably never come here again at night. It was the scariest night of our lives!!!

History:

The Kiyotaki Tunnel, located between northern Arashiyama and Sagakiyotaki in Japan, is notorious worldwide for its eerie and haunted reputation. This single-lane passage, shrouded in a past marked by violence, mysterious occurrences, and suicides, is rife with stories of ghostly sightings and ominous warnings.

Constructed between 1927 and 1928 as part of the Atagoyama Railway, the tunnel spans around 444 meters. Its construction, allegedly carried out by unpaid workers under harsh conditions, has been linked to numerous fatalities, ranging from construction accidents to executions nearby. Legend has it that the spirits of these lost souls haunt the tunnel after dark.

Adding to the tunnel's mystique are numerous unsettling tales and phenomena. Rumors claim that its length is 444 meters, a number considered unlucky in Japanese culture, and that seeing spirits in mirrors around the tunnel forebodes a violent fate. Reports of sudden, unexplained changes in traffic signals leading to accidents, along with the tunnel's reputation as a site for self harm, further contribute to its ominous aura.

Moreover, various accounts include eerie occurrences like a ghostly woman's scream, a mysterious woman in white attacking cars, and physical discomforts likely due to poor ventilation—all predominantly at night, leading to recommendations for an alternative route after dark.
