Behind every legend lies a grain of truth, but many have become firmly entrenched in paranormal lore. Tonight we'll delve into many of these with two accomplished authors and folklorists, Christopher Rondina and Ronald Murphy.

CHRISTOPHER RONDINA is a writer and folklorist with a passion for tales of ghosts, witches, and the unknown. His latest book, ‘Legends of Sleepy Hollow: The Lost History of the Headless Horseman’ explores the fascinating lore and reality behind the Hudson Valley’s most famous phantom.

Christopher is also the author of Ghosts of New England, Vampires of New England and Ghost Ships of New England. He was a script consultant on the PBS documentary Ghost and Vampire Legends of Rhode Island, which was nominated for regional Emmy. His research on New England's haunted history has been featured on television, on radio and in print for many years, including programs for the Discovery Network and the Travel Channel.

RONALD MURPHY has been investigating the stuff of nightmares for over 30 years. He has investigated the things that go bump in the night and meticulously researched the historical and psychological context of myths and legends from around the world. Mr. Murphy seeks to uncover the archetypal precedent for the monsters that haunt our collective thoughts.

Ron has professionally published short stories, poetry, had a play produced, along his first novella, Roland, Dragon Slayer. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in literature, Mr. Murphy studied medieval history at the graduate level at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. His interests include acting, playwriting, and photography. He's also a renowned life coach and spiritual advisor, practicing for many years.
