Masonic at one time was known as Lenora although it resides in a narrow canyon it was divided into three districts. It had a tram to transport ore from the Pittsburgh-Liberty mine where eventually one of the Co-owners named Philips was found broke and deceased at the bottom of a shaft. The town had it all a boarding house, post office, general store, mines, mills and around 1000 residents. Eventually when the mines became exhausted all that was left behind was its ghost that surround this scenic country.
