Transport Minister, Fikile Mbalula, says the process of cracking down on ghost workers at the Passenger Rail Agency has saved the company more than R200 million. However, he's acknowledged that it will take a while to deal with the effects of state capture that remain deeply entrenched in the company. He says project Ziveze, aimed to rid the company of the so-called ghost workers, is a testament to the company's efforts to renew itself.
The minister was briefing the media in Johannesburg today.
