Flying Rods and Fairies which are captured in video and film are believed by some to be alien creatures or real flying fairies. This is neither, just common optical allusions from the interaction between the cameras frame rate and shutter speeds and the light reflecting of the flying insect. High frame rate video such as 60FPS or even 120FPS will negate this anomaly and clearly show the insect flying in front of the camera. Believe it or not, this debate is still going on! It should not even be a debate. This video shows a slower frame rate and shutter speed because of the night shot being used.
