I bought a Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p high definition HD web camera today on impulse because of a $30 mail in rebate at Frys. I wanted an HD camera to record The Dead Explorer show vlogs. Here are my pros and cons so far:

PROS
1) Picture quality is good.
2) Works on Skype and Ustream.
3) Built on microphone
4) Works with tripods
5) Imports easily into Microsoft Movie Studio (which I don't use, but I know people who do).

CONS
1) Cannot record and upload through YouTube. I tried on Chrome and Internet Explorer. I downloaded firmware and Shockwave updates.
2) The software that comes with camera allows you to shoot in 600p (between 480p standard definition SD and 720 high definition HD). Found other video where you have to get a 3rd party software to record in full 1080p. That sucks.
3) Audio and video sync issues in Sony Vegas Video Capture (although I think I can tweak that).
4) Definite sync issues in audio and video now that I uploaded this video!
5) Slows my computer down!
6) Records in big AVI files.
7) Its just not easy to use straight out of the box. Really unimpressed.

So, I am this close to returning this camera. I wanted something that was more user friendly, and this camera, without a doubt, has not been user friendly for me.
